Wordless Wednesday: Upcycling Those Broken Crayons

Remove paper around broken crayons.

Place in desired silicon trays on top of cookie sheet in a 225-degree oven for about 15 minutes or when the crayons have melted down.

Freeze for about 30 minutes.

Carefully pop out of trays.  Enjoy your new crayons!

I found out about this after I got rid of a tin full of broken crayons a couple of years ago. I think it is a great idea and can't wait to have enough crayons to do it with. (Of course it would help if the girls didn't keep losing the crayons). I think yours turned out lovely.

Thanks everyone for the awesome comments! I had made these as party favors for the younger kids at my 5-year-old daughter's birthday party.

@Christine, I may just have my Girl Scout troop make some for our church nursery. Thanks for the idea!
